October 2, 2012 – Partnership Helps Launch New Learning Center

The partnership of REI Oklahoma, a statewide economic development firm, and Central National Bank, Enid, helped launch a new child learning center in Fairview.  Adventure Time Learning Center opened its doors in January 2012 and has reached enrollment capacity of 45 children.

When business owners Mindi Clement and Samantha Wallace needed financial assistance to purchase real estate and renovate a building, Central National Bank and REI Oklahoma combined their lending programs.

“I don’t know what we would have done without REI Oklahoma and Central National Bank,” Mindi Clement said.  “Not only did they provide the financing, but they provided good guidance and continue to assist in any way they can.”  Her advice to anyone wanting to start a business?  “Dream big!  Anything is possible.”

The Center provides care and learning opportunities for children approximately six weeks to four years.  The curriculum includes language, creative play, math, science, art, physical and social development.  Special services include homework help from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.   A Head Start Program is also offered for three year olds that qualify taught by both Mindi and Samantha.  The Center opens at 6:30 a.m. to accommodate families needing to report to work early.          Adventure Time Learning Center employs seven full time, including the owners, and one part-time person.

“It is always gratifying to help entrepreneurs achieve their dreams and it’s even more exciting when we partner with a local bank,” Susan Bates, REI Oklahoma Sr. Loan Officer said.  “These ladies have a lot of experience in early childhood development and a contagious passion to enrich the lives of children and their families.”
