DURANT – On Tuesday, The Small Business Revolution revealed that sadly, Durant was not the winner. However, building on the positivity of the community coming together in such an amazing way over the last few months, REI Oklahoma revealed that they would step up to the challenge and committed to invest $500,000 of funding and in-kind services in the community just as the show would have.
“We’ve found that many times, the difference between success and failure for a small business isn’t a colossal overhaul – a little fine tuning and guidance will make all the difference,” said Scott Dewald, REI Oklahoma President & CEO. “Catalyzing this boost of energy from The Small Business Revolution is not only great for Durant – it’s great for Oklahoma.”
REI Oklahoma has assembled business solutions for this commitment including flexible loans for small businesses, equity investments for small businesses, business space, business coaching, business training, business planning, marketing guidance, woman-owned business certifications and even down payment assistance for homebuyers.
To ensure that local businesses benefit, current and potential entrepreneurs are encouraged to visit reiok.org to complete an inquiry form. This will help REI Oklahoma to further determine what business needs exist and will provide an opportunity for businesses to immediately take advantage of our existing small business services. Once completed, an REI Oklahoma representative will follow up. Specific offerings and events will be announced in the very near future.
