Christina Culver will be connecting enterprising women with economic development opportunities as a newly-named coordinator for REI Women’s Business Center in Tulsa.
Christina has worked in special events and marketing positions ranging from the University of Missouri in Kansas City to the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. Most recently she has provided support to the public education system and other community organizations within the Mustang and Bartlesville areas in a volunteer capacity. In her new position, she will assist entrepreneurs wanting to explore the opportunities of starting or expanding a business through one-on-one business counseling, access to capital, quality business training opportunities and technical assistance.
“We’re very excited to add Christina to our talented team of professionals who focus on assisting women business owners,” said Sherry Harlin, REI Business Development Director.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Christina has been an active member of the Bartlesville Public School Foundation Board, Bartlesville High School Parent Support Group, Bartlesville High School Lady Bruins basketball support program and the Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club of Bartlesville. Originally from Tahlequah, she and husband David are parents to J.R., Olivia, Gabrielle and Vivian.
“I’m most excited about being able to help connect women with resources that they can use to create a vision for their future and then strive to make that vision reality,” said Culver. “I think being able to participate in, and witness those clients’ successes will be a very rewarding part of this job.”
REI Oklahoma operates Oklahoma’s only Women’s Business Center, a place where women gain support, encouragement, strength, answers and celebrate success. It has reached more than 20,000 entrepreneurs since opening its doors. Visit www.reiwbc.org for more information.
