Business Resources Specialist

REI Oklahoma is seeking a Business Resources Specialist with strong communication skills, financial knowledge and a passion for helping entrepreneurs and small businesses succeed. The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful and comfortable working directly with business clients and community partners.

The Business Resources Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support in the delivery of business resources, programs and services offered by REI Oklahoma. This role includes participating in the planning, implementation and coordination of entrepreneurial services and other program activities across the state, while building and maintaining relationships with business clients and partners.

This position will be located in our Oklahoma City office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and coordination of entrepreneurial trainings, workshops and networking events as it relates to program initiatives.
• Providing capital readiness assistance and other technical assistance to clients, as well as identifying resources to aide in providing business assistance.
• Helping clients understand lender and funding requirements and identifying gaps that may prevent successful access to capital.
• Assisting in the preparation of grant applications, including the writing of program narratives and coordination of supporting materials.

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Extensive experience in banking, small-business management, entrepreneurial services or a related field.
• Regularly required to present or speak at events.
• Understanding of financial statements and financial preparedness.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and accomplish work with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and professionally with clients, partners, and co-workers.
• Strong organizational and basic computer skills.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Travel may be required on an as-needed basis, both in-state and out-of-state.
